Empowering Students Through Speech and Debate

Since 2008, The Edge Speech and Debate Club has purposed to train homeschooled students in effective communication and critical thinking skills to better serve and glorify God. The Edge students compete in the National Christian Forensics and Communication Association to facilitate our goals.

Coaches and parents cooperate at The Edge to teach students, run the club and host tournaments. As families, we share our passion for speech and debate with other homeschool families in our area. Parents participate in club meetings with their students so that families grow together in these skills.

Our Mission:

The Edge Speech and Debate Club exists to equip homeschooled students to effectively communicate, to develop critical thinking skills, and to better serve and glorify God. The Edge competes in the National Christian Forensics and Communications Association (NCFCA). We strive to provide young people with skills to clearly express and tactfully defend ideas to a variety of audiences, to teach students how to speak to audiences in a way that persuades, delights, entertains, or educates, and to provide an environment in which students and parents develop a sense of teamwork and relationships based on a love for Jesus Christ and others.
